Results & timelines
How can I be sure this will bring results?
We won't promise you a number, and we're wary of anyone who does. What we do promise: every week, we actually scan Claude with your target questions and record whether you or your competitors get cited, on a public, real 0-100 GEO score โ€” not an estimate. Every month, you see that score move, plus the exact list of quick wins (questions where a competitor is cited and you aren't) so you know precisely what's being worked on. Progress is measured, documented, and shown to you โ€” nothing is taken on faith.
How long until I see results?
The GEO score and the first quick wins are visible from the first weekly scan, so within about a week of onboarding. Ranking movements on Google and stronger AI citations build over several months of consistent publishing โ€” that's simply how search and AI indexing work, and we're upfront about it rather than promising instant wins.
What if I don't see any progress after a few months?
It happens, and it's exactly what the monthly report is for: it shows what was published, what moved, and what didn't. If a query stays stuck, we flag it as a quick win with a specific action instead of just repeating the same content. If the site itself has a blocker (a technical setting, slow pages, no structured data), we surface it explicitly rather than quietly absorbing the cost.
Classic SEO
Is this just GEO, or do you also do classic SEO?
Both, fully. Every week, we track your Google ranking (top 10 positions monitored automatically) and alert you the moment a page moves by 3 positions or more. We continuously fix the technical basics that matter to Google: schema.org structured data, mobile speed, indexation. We also flag pages losing ranking so they can be refreshed, and internal linking opportunities between your existing pages. GEO (being cited by AI) and SEO (ranking well on Google) rely on the same technical foundation and the same content โ€” we don't treat them as two separate jobs.
What gets fixed automatically on the technical SEO side?
The points that weigh most on your Google ranking and are still routinely overlooked: missing schema.org structured data, insufficient mobile load speed, content invisible without JavaScript, unconfirmed indexation on Google and Bing. We monitor these continuously, and depending on your plan, it's either fixed directly or handed to you as a ready-to-apply fix. Included in every plan, Basic included.
Do you actually track my Google ranking?
Yes: every page known to Google Search Console is tracked, with an alert as soon as a position moves by 3 spots or more, up or down. This is distinct from the GEO score (which measures AI citations) โ€” this is your classic Google ranking, on the keywords that already drive your traffic.
What is internal linking, and why does it matter for SEO?
It means connecting your existing pages with relevant links to each other, one of the most underused SEO levers. We analyse your existing pages' performance and identify where an internal link would reinforce a page with real potential. We also suggest structured FAQ blocks (in the format Google and AI tools understand) on existing pages. Included in every plan, once your site has at least 4 pages known to Search Console.
Do you do backlink outreach?
Yes, on Excelsior: our team reaches out for and negotiates relevant inbound links for your industry. It's not included in Basic or Premium โ€” those plans focus on the technical foundation and content, which is the best effort-to-impact lever when starting out.
What's actually included
What exactly counts in the "up to 80/160/260 actions per month"?
It's two different kinds of work, both counted honestly:

Daily optimisations (2-8 per day depending on plan): technical fixes we detect and either apply or hand you ready to click (missing schema.org, a page losing ranking, a new competitor citing a query you aren't), plus alerts when your Google position moves significantly, plus social post drafts for LinkedIn, Reddit and Google Business Profile.

In-depth monthly deliverables (2-6 depending on plan): fully written, human-reviewed articles ready to publish, and GEO briefs (a written rationale for each article topic, so you always know why we're writing it).

Every one of these is a real deliverable you can act on, not an empty notification. You see all of them in the Actions hub, prioritised.
What does the weekly GEO score actually measure?
Each week, we ask Claude your target questions (the ones your customers might ask before buying) and check whether the answer cites you, cites a competitor, or cites neither. That gives a 0-100 score based on real citations, not a guess. It's a different thing from the passive detection we also run through your GA4 data (visits coming from chatgpt.com, perplexity.ai, etc.) โ€” one is an active measurement, the other is a traffic signal. Both are shown in your dashboard.
Does the human review really change anything?
Every article goes through a person on our team before delivery: they check factual accuracy for your industry, remove anything that reads as generic AI filler, and confirm the SEO/GEO structure is respected. It's a judgment call, not a spellcheck. We don't ship what we wouldn't publish under our own name.
How does BrandWitness choose what to write about?
In this order: (1) pages already ranking on Google that an article can reinforce, (2) rising trends in your industry detected from Google Trends and news, (3) queries where a competitor is cited by AI and you aren't (quick wins), (4) foundational topics that build your long-term topical authority. Every topic comes with a short written rationale so you always know why that subject, not another.
What is accelerated indexing?
When an article is published, Google can take days to weeks to discover it on its own. We ping Google's indexing API the moment it goes live, so it's crawled without waiting for the next scheduled pass โ€” in practice this can cut the delay from weeks to days. Included in every plan.
Setup & technical requirements
What do I need to have ready before starting?
Mainly a GA4 property and a Search Console verified for your site, plus a few technical compatibility checks we run at onboarding. If you already have all this, setup takes about 15 minutes. If you have none of it, we set it up with you on a call, or directly if you grant temporary access โ€” see the full onboarding checklist.
Do I need to give you access to my website?
Only if you want us to fix technical issues directly instead of doing it yourself โ€” that's covered by the technical audit included in every plan. For publishing, we connect to your WordPress or Shopify via API โ€” you keep full ownership and can revoke access anytime.
Will this hurt my existing SEO?
No โ€” we never remove or rewrite your existing pages without your approval. New articles are additive, and any suggested change to an existing page (a refresh, a rewritten intro) is proposed first, applied only after you approve it.
Is this compatible with WordPress and Shopify?
Yes, both are supported for automatic publishing via their official APIs. If you use a different CMS, articles are still delivered ready to paste in.
Plans & subscription
What's the actual difference between Basic, Premium and Excelsior?
Basic covers the technical foundations, weekly GEO scoring, and one human-reviewed article a month. Premium adds post-publication impact measurement, real conversion tracking, and ready-to-click social drafts. Excelsior is a fully managed service on top: Wikipedia presence, press outreach, and backlink work handled by our team. The full comparison table is on the pricing page.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes, no minimum term and no fees. You can cancel from your dashboard whenever you want; your subscription stays active until the end of the current billing period.
What happens to my Google Analytics data?
We only read your GA4 traffic data (page views, traffic sources, associated queries) to justify each topic with real numbers. We don't retain raw data beyond the monthly analysis, and everything is processed under GDPR. See our privacy policy for details.
Does BrandWitness work for my industry?
It's built for brands and small businesses whose audience actually searches for information related to what they sell: local services, SaaS, e-commerce, health, beauty, BTP, and similar. If you're unsure it fits your case, write to us before subscribing โ€” we'll tell you honestly.
